Mail Art Project 2008
Inaugurazione: 5 ottobre 2007, ore 11.00
Ingresso libero

Schegge d’arte: ovvero frammenti, minuzie, piccole cose.

Schegge art for a Reality Not Ordinary

From 5/10/07 to 5/01/09
Inauguration: October 5, 2007, 11.00
Admission free

Schegge art or fragments, minuzie, small things. Minuscole, sometimes, like a stamp or a postcard. These are the works collected by Reality Not Ordinary to achieve this exhibition dedicated to creativity and dedicated to Mail Art.

Many artists from around the world have enthusiastically joined the project and have sent their works of art mail: 189 of them are now exposed to Barrique.

The works on display are photographs, drawings, sketches, calligraphic gestures, images manipulated in various ways, collages using materials of every kind and type, and still quotes, fragments of text, processed and enriched by a sign, a gesture, a stamp artist; often the back of / postcard or envelope that contains, are real works of art, and deserve to be shown.

Impegnate politically or socially, or just fun and divertite, some tend to a mere aesthetic, others to create embarrassment or disarray, for some one can speak of provocation, other reflection (sull'io artist, to the world, on 'Be). In all, however, receives a great desire to do and to communicate in any manner or by any means. And what better half, to communicate, if not the mail? The small format arrives everywhere, can be everywhere, no problem-outline, or transport.

With this the Mail Art is an art democratic, for all, completely outside the official channels: it's a form of conceptual art that, since its first appearances in the'60s of the twentieth century, it becomes a privileged channel for those who believe in the free exchange of not mercificata and not musealizzata.

There are no rules or limitations with regard to means of expression to use: each item of mail art is sent not to go back, or to return amended by the recipient, or to be confused with other "pieces". A free circulation of ideas that over the years, has encouraged the exchange between individuals of cultures, languages, different countries and often far between them.

And 'this freedom, this "art for all", which goes beyond the concepts of "beautiful" and "aesthetic" that Ordinary Reality not want to celebrate Scriò.
